What to ask

Ask the way you would ask a colleague who has Telescope open. Claude picks the tools and filters. These examples show what works well.

Portfolio overview

Which portfolios do we have in Telescope, and how many properties are in each?

Show me the portfolio tree under "Region Øst" with the properties in each portfolio.

List the 10 properties with the highest value estimate, with address and portfolio.

Climate risk screening

Which properties have a relevant landslide hazard with high or very high exposure?

List every property where any relevant hazard has very high exposure, sorted by value estimate.

Compare river flooding, coastal flooding and surface flooding across the properties in the "Bergen" portfolio. Make a table.

How much of our portfolio value is in properties with a relevant hazard at high or very high exposure?

A single property

Summarize the climate risk for Storgata 1 in Oslo.

What do we know about the property with reference P-1001? Include buildings and energy certificates.

Which hazards are relevant for this property but don't have a sensitivity assessment yet?

Biodiversity

Which properties overlap protected areas or vulnerable natural habitats?

Are red list species relevant for any of our properties? Group them by portfolio.

Buildings and energy

Which buildings have energy label F or G?

List energy certificates that expire within the next 12 months.

What is the total usable area per building usage across our properties?

Reports and drafts

Draft a short climate risk summary for the board, covering our 10 highest-value properties. Explain which hazards matter most and why.

Make a table of all properties with relevant hazards at high exposure, with columns for property, portfolio, hazard, exposure and vulnerability.

Write an email to the property manager of the "Trondheim" portfolio listing the properties that still need sensitivity assessments.

Creating properties

Only when creating is enabled for your organization:

Add the property with matrikkelnummer 0301-208/101 to the "Oslo sentrum" portfolio. Use reference P-1001, address Storgata 1, 0155 Oslo.

Claude finds the portfolio's ID, shows you the request and asks for approval. Some time later:

Have the hazard results for P-1001 arrived?

Tips

  • Use Telescope's words. Hazard names like landslide, surface flooding or storm, and levels like high or very high, map directly onto the API's filters.
  • Say "relevant" when you only want hazards that matter for the property. Without it, Claude may count every stored result, including ones users marked as not relevant.
  • Narrow down large portfolios. Claude reads 100 properties per request. A question about one hazard, one exposure level or one city needs far fewer requests than "all properties".
  • Results are stored results. Reading never starts new analyses. A new property shows no hazards until its analyses have finished.
  • Check before you share. Claude can misread data or make mistakes. Check important numbers in Telescope before they go into a report.

What Claude can't do

  • Change or delete properties, portfolios or assessments, other than updating a property through properties-create with the same reference ID.
  • Create portfolios.
  • Rerun analyses on demand.
  • See other organizations' data.

For those, use the Telescope app.
